Envisor®
1. Do the Envisor products have any effect on the warranty of the equipment they screen?
We have not had any equipment manufacturer indicate the addition of Envisor screens will void their warranty. Additionally, we have worked closely with major suppliers to accommodate any concerns and gain their approvals.
2. Is airflow to the RTU impeded by the addition of an Envisor equipment screen?
No, our engineers design project-specific accommodations for any RTU performance features added to each piece of equipment.
3. What are the types of Envisor equipment screens currently available?
Currently, two standard models are available: the Unit Attached System and the Post Mounted System. Both can screen RTUs from 2 ton to over 300 ton in size. We will also design and manufacture custom screens to fit your project.
4. Can I screen multiple pieces of equipment on a rooftop together?
Yes, however, the RTUs must be positioned close enough to each other to allow for “Twinning”, or the equipment may already be “nested” together on a steel substructure.
5. What are the product’s wind load specifications?
We have had a licensed engineer stamp product drawings to meet 180-mph wind load requirements with some product modifications. Generally, our engineers allow for an ultimate wind load of 115-mph.

Covrit®
1. What is the widest screen wall size I can order?
It depends on which infill material you chose. Our Metal Series can span as wide as 6′ between posts. Woodgrain textured PVC infill is available up to 8’ wide in increments of 6”. Please contact us directly at 1-877-727-3367 with any unique requests and our design staff can quickly evaluate to provide answers or suggestions; usually within 48 hours.
2. What is the widest gate size I can order?
Using a left or right hinge door, the maximum free swinging gate width is 12′ wide. By using assist rollers on a smooth concrete surface under the door swing path you can increase the maximum single door width to 16′. Send us your specs and our project managers can assist in analyzing your needs. Contact us and provide your contact information, or call us at 1-877-727-3367, to get started on your project.
3. How tall can my enclosure be?
Our typical screen walls and gates are less than 10′ tall but we have produced several projects up to 14′ tall. If you have a project that requires a wall or gate taller than 14′ please contact our project managers to discuss a custom order. We love a challenge.
4. Can I customize the size of the enclosure?
Yes, the entire line of CityScapes products can be made to your specifications. We begin with a selection of standard options to choose from, but if your needs are custom, we will work with you to identify the best options for your specific project. Most of our products are able to be re-sized in the field, so in many cases we can supply a standard sized part that can be trimmed on site to fit your specific project needs…just another one of the great advantages of CityScapes screening solutions.
5. Can I get material/color samples?
Yes, we are happy to send you hand-size samples of any color and/or product material design you choose. Simply contact us, request a sample and let us know what information you want to receive and where we can send it. Our team is ready to assist you.

Dumpster Enclosures
1. What is your average dumpster enclosure size?
The most common size requested is an 11’ x 11’ x 7 or 8’ tall. This would hold most single dumpsters. For sites with two dumpsters, we see 11’ x 23’ x 8’ as the most specified.
2. Can I color match the PlankWall to my building?
We have about 13 different plank colors available, so we should have something that matches or coordinates. We can paint to color match, but this will void the plank warranty.
3. Can I mix different color planks to make the enclosure multi-toned?
Since all products are made to order we can mix and match planks or wall styles in whatever way you would like.
4. How long does the process take?
This varies based on project complexity but typical would be this:
- Project manager provides quote based on supplied information – within 48 hours
- Customer supplies drawings and site information
- Submittal package created and returned to customer within 2 weeks
- Customer approval/acceptance of submittal
- Production and shipping 4 to 6 weeks from approve (may vary with seasonal volume)
5. Can I get samples to look at before I purchase?
Sample materials are available for most products. Request them online or contact your project manager.

Planx® Planters & Raised Beds
1. Do Planx planters expand or contract?
The wood grain textured cellular planks used in our planters will expand and contract because of heat, unlike real wood which expands because of moisture. Our wall system design allows for expansion or contraction in the installation process.
2. Will my Planx planter fade?
Our PVC panels will outperform wood and composite materials requiring no upkeep with minimal fading (warranty provided at time of purchase).
3. Can you match my Planx planter to my building?
The wood grain textured cellular PVC used in our Planx planters comes in a variety of colors certain to complement your project site. While PVC products can be painted with water based paint, we do not recommend this as it will void the warranty. Posts and decorative aluminum stiffeners can be painted any color. Just provide a Sherwin Williams or Pantone code and we’ll match it.
4. Can I get samples of Planx PVC panels?
The wood grain textured cellular PVC used in our Planx planters is available in many colors. Our project managers will send you samples of any color you choose. Simply contact us, request a sample and let us know what information you want to receive and where we can send it. Our team is ready to assist you.
5. Will my Planx planter grow mold or mildew?
Our planters are composed of 100% cellular PVC which does not support mold or mildew growth. No moisture can penetrate into the material, which is one of the main reasons people love this product. Spores simply cannot take hold and penetrate the planks. However, if dirt or other debris is left on the wall for an extended period of time, that debris could grow mold and would simply need to be sprayed off.
6. Does CityScapes pre-drill drainage holes in our molded soil trays?
We typically do not pre-drill drainage holes in our molded soil trays unless we are installing a specific water system for the planters. However, when adding drainage holes, we recommend a 3/8” diameter hole, with the number of holes ranging from 2 to 6 depending on the size of the planter. It's crucial to prevent standing water from accumulating in the base, which could lead to root rot in plants. When installing planters on site, it's important to consider where the planter will drain. Simply adding random holes without proper planning could lead to the formation of a slippery, mossy mess on pavement, brickwork, or decks over the planting season.
