1. Do the Envisor™ products have any effect on the warranty of the equipment they screen?

We have not had any equipment manufacturer indicate the addition of Envisor™ screens will void their warranty. Additionally, we have worked closely with major suppliers to accommodate any concerns and gain their approvals.

2. Is airflow to the RTU impeded by the addition of an Envisor™ equipment screen?

No, our engineers' design project-specific accommodations for any RTU performance features added to each piece of equipment.

3. What are the types of Envisor™ equipment screens currently available?

Currently, 2 standard models are available: the Vertical System and the Canted System. Both can screen RTU's from 2 ton to over 300 ton in size. We will also design and manufacture custom screens to fit your project.

4. Can I screen multiple pieces of equipment on a rooftop together?

Yes, however, the RTU's must be positioned close enough to each other to allow for "Twinning", or the equipment may already be "nested" together on a steel substructure.

5. What is the product's Wind Load Specifications?

We have had a licensed engineer stamp product drawings to meet 150-mph wind load requirements with some product modifications. Generally, our engineers allow for 80-mph wind loads.

6. What if only 2 sides of the RTU can be viewed from the street?

Certain applications may allow for partial screening solutions. Please contact us for more details.

7. Do the Envisor™ panels require any cleaning or maintenance?

Typically, no. The finishes we apply are comparable to those used in the automotive industry, and though not required, would benefit from a manufacturer's suggested cleaning routine based on local environmental conditions.

8. How difficult is it to perform routine service on the RTU's?

Access to the RTU's electrical disconnect and service doors should not require any significant additional time or labor by the service technician to perform routine maintenance.

9. Do custom colors cost more?

Since Envisor standard panels have the color already co-extruded, nominal charges will be incurred, usually based on quantity. Manufacturing lead times may also change. Our in-house custom color match system gives us the ability to match virtually any preferred finish. Please contact us directly for more specific information.

10. What type of information is required to quote and order an Envisor™ equipment screen?

Since we have fabricated product to screen equipment manufactured by most of the RTU suppliers, a make and model number is a good start. Generally, some additional questions will be required to identify any equipment enhancements, such as economizers, and power vents. We also suggest completing our (PDF) RTU Survey sheet prior to ordering.

11. What is the typical lead time necessary to receive Envisor™ product?

Under normal circumstances, engineering and manufacturing should take no longer than 6 - 8 weeks. Certain “custom” applications may require more time. Lead times can be assigned at time of quotation.

12. Does your organization provide field installation?

Yes, several sources and types of installation plans can be made available. Factory assisted installation is always available.

13. We are required to procure three different quotations in the bidding process. Who are your direct competitors?

Because of patent protection, there are no other companies that provide a complete pre-engineered solution like Envisor™, eliminating rooftop penetrations. Many different manufactured components can be purchased and installed to simulate the desired effect. You can advise in your specifications that alternates will be accepted, provided they match the intentions of the specified system. Call us for a quote on equipment screens.
